USB Type-C has new connector shape
USB Type-C has a new micro physical connector-about the same size as a micro USB connector. And the USB-C connector can support various new USB standards, such as USB 3.1 and USB power.
USB Type-C provides a very small new connector standard. It’s about a third of the old USB Type-A plug. This is a single connector standard that every device should be able to use. Whether you connect an external hard drive to a laptop or charge your smartphone via a USB charger, you only need one cable. A tiny connector is small enough to fit in an ultra-thin mobile device, yet powerful enough to connect all the peripherals you want to a laptop. The cable itself has a USB Type-C connector at both ends, which is a connector.
USB-C offers many advantages. It is reversible, so you don’t need to flip the connector at least three more times to find the right direction. All devices should have a single USB connector shape, so there is no need to keep different USB cable loads with different connector shapes for various devices. Also, you will never have to have larger ports to take up unnecessary space on increasingly thin devices.
